Dehnert Dental is a full-service dental office. We take pride in our outstanding crowns, bridges, and veneers. We offer a variety of different kinds of porcelain work, from very durable to the most aesthetically pleasing. We use only the highest quality materials available.

Crowns

A crown is commonly referred to as a “cap.” It may cover the entire tooth (to the gum level) or three-quarters of the tooth. Its function is to hold the whole tooth together. Crowns are indicated when there is a large amount of tooth structure missing, whether from decay or fracture or when a tooth has a history of root canal treatment. Root canal treatment can make a tooth brittle and prone to fracture, so a crown is necessary to protect the tooth and prevent catastrophic fracture in the tooth that could make it not restorable.

Bridges

A bridge is a series of crowns and fake teeth that look like crowns that are fused together. The function of a bridge is to replace a missing tooth or teeth. Placement of a bridge does require periodontally healthy teeth on either side of the space to be filled. Bridges are usually done in two appointments, one to prepare the teeth, and one to glue the finished bridge in place.

Veneers

A veneer is an all-porcelain laminate that is prepared, fabricated, and cemented following minimal tooth reduction to achieve an aesthetically pleasing result. Veneers can be done in single-tooth instances, but if multiple teeth are planned, ideal esthetic results will be achieved if they are all done together.
