Teeth Bleaching Process Explained

The process of bleaching teeth involves a professional strength bleaching gel which is applied to the teeth using special trays that have been custom made to fit you. When the gel is applied, it whitens your teeth by removing some of the stains that have become lodged in the microscopic pores of your teeth. It does not harm the tooth. Some people may experience some temporary sensitivity to temperature. A comprehensive exam and evaluation are necessary prior to any bleaching procedure to make sure you are a good candidate for bleaching. While bleaching is permanent, the constant exposure to stains in your food can stain them again. Dental work does not bleach. Therefore, if you are planning to bleach your teeth, it is important to tell your dentist before you have treatment done in esthetic zones to maximize your ideal result.
